Nominate a third party to pay your entries
Liveheats lets you save your entries partway through a registration and come back later. It also lets someone else, for example a club treasurer/finance admin or a sponsor, complete payment of entries on your behalf.
How to save and resume a registration
- While registering athletes, save and exit at any point. Nothing is lost, your entries will be exactly as you left them.
- To resume, go back to the event. Your saved entries will be waiting.
How to hand off payment to someone else
- Once your entries are saved and valid, go to the Your details page and click 'Invite to pay'.
- Enter the payer's email, leave a note for them if you want and invite them. Once you've invited them, they will receive an email with a link that will take them straight to the stripe payment page for your draft entries.
Once you have invited a payer, the payment link that has been sent to them via email is also available for you to copy and share via another medium of your choice. You can also invite another person to pay.
- Once you have nominated your payer, they will receive an email that contains all the details of the entries and a link that takes them straight to payment - see below for an example email.
- Your nominated payer can then follow the link and pay for your entries.
Common questions
What does the payer see?
Just the amount due, and number of entries. They land on a payment page after opening the link, not the individual entries or athlete details.
Is the amount fixed at the time I share it?
No. It's worked out fresh when the payer opens the link, so it reflects current pricing, including any early bird pricing still running.
What if an entry becomes invalid after I've shared the link?
The payer won't be able to complete payment. They'll see an explanation, and you'll need to fix the entry and save it - no need to share a new payment link.
Can anyone else access the payment page?
No. Only someone with the link can reach it, there's no general login or search.
What happens once it's paid?
In non-waitlisted events, conformation is immediate - same as when you paid yourself. In a waitlisted event, the director will still have to confirm your entry.
