Setting-up competing clubs for your event

Many events require an athlete to represent a club, nation and/or team. For this, we offer the Competing clubs setting. When in use, athletes will need to choose from a pre-defined list of whom they're competing for at registration. The option team they select will then display under their name in the draw and results, and if using the club leaderboard, their points will be counted towards the club, nation and/or team they selected.

Please note that to use this setting, your organisation has to be using our Team Manager feature. For more information and to get this set up please contact us at community@liveheats.com.

How to set up competing clubs for your event

Once you've created your event, navigate to the Event settings, General tab and scroll to the Competing clubs section.

You will now have a number of options to choose from:

All clubs in my organisation - Choosing this option will allow athetels to select from any competing entity (e.g club, team, nation) within your organisation during registration
Selected clubs only - Choosing this will allow atheltes to select from a specific set of competing entities (e.g club, team, nation). However, you'll need to contact us at community@liveheats.com to configure selected clubs
No club required - This is the default option and means atheltes don't need to select any competing entity during registration.
All clubs in my federation - Additionally, if you're organisation is part of a federation, you'll also have the option to choose this option, which will allow athetels to select from any competing entity (e.g club, team, nation) within your whole federation during registration.

Once selected, click the Save button at the bottom of the page

Athletes will now have to select their club/team/nation from the predefined list during registration.

Their selection will then display under their name in the draw and result, and if using the Clubleader board, also their points will be counted towards the club, nation and/or team they selected.
