For some divisions, you might like to enable restrictions so that athletes can only register for their eligible division based on their Nationality, e.g for National Championships.

Liveheats allows you to limit each division to a specific nationality or set of nationalities.

How to set nationality restrictions on registration

1. Go to the Event settings and click the Registrations tab

2. Scroll down to the Registration form section, and if not already active Nationality field

Please note: this is our default Nationality field and lists all Nationalities with the full name. If your event requires an alternative list e.g the official IOC Nationality list. Please check out this article to Request to use the official IOC list of Nationalities

3. Once the Nationality field is active, navigate to the Entry restrictions tab and scroll down to the Division eligibility rules area and click the + icon next to the Division that requires the Nationality restriction

4. Click the Nationality option from the list

5. Once clicked, search and select the Nationality or Nationalities you'd like to create a restriction for 

e.g

6. Click Update to add the restriction, and then click Save at the bottom of the Entry restrictions tab

7. During registration, your athletes will now see the following style message and will not be able to enter if they do not fit the requirements for the division:
