Restrict event registrations to athletes who are a member of a club (BETA)

Many organisers require athetels to be part of a club to complete. For this use case, we have introduced a beta version of the Club membership event restriction.

The Club membership restriction is an addition to the Completing clubs event setting.

Completing clubs allows atheltes to select their club during registration. Adding the Club membership entry restriction on top of this requires athetels to be part of a club in Liveheats.

As this is still in beta use this feature. Please contact us at community@liveheats.com to add, remove and transfer atheltes between clubs and follow the steps below to limit event entries to only athletes who have a club membership

How to set Club membership restrictions on registration

  1. Please follow the steps in this article: Setting-up competing clubs for your event to ensure competing clubs have been set up for your event.
  2. Once competing clubs have been set up navigate to the Event settings, Entry Restrictions tab

  1. Then, click the Add event entry restriction and select the Club membership option

  1. Select the Athletes must be an existing member of a competing club option and click Update
  2. Click Save at the bottom of the page to save all the updates
  3. Now, when an athlete registers for your event, they will only be eligible if they are already part of a club in Liveheats. See examples below of what an eligible vs an ineligible athetels will see when trying to register
