Using the head judge or announcer page
Liveheats has a dedicated page for the Head Judge, Director, or Announcer to view the average score and the individual judge scores for the live heat.

Here's a few of the features:
- Warning signs if there's a difference of more than 15% of the judging scale
- Warning signs if a judge misses a ride
- Tabs to select the bank or podium you're viewing if double banking
- A live ranking of the round, showing ties and the cut line
- Approving scores before they are published
Accessing the head judge page
- Log in to the device as a Director and go to the Event dashboard
- Click on the Head judge item on the left hand side navigation
- If required, you can hide the menu, so the head judge can view the full heat
Viewing the live ranking
Click View ranking on the head judge page to see the round leaderboard in real time. The ranking shows:
- A full list of athletes and their scores

The live ranking is available for round-based and heat-based rankings, including in tabulator mode (entering scores through the head judge page).
Head judge approval of scores
When you're using live judging, you can activate a setting that means all rides/runs must be approved by the Head Judge before they are made visible to the public.

How to activate head judge approvals
- Go to the Event settings and select the Judging tab
- Scroll down and select the box for Head judge must approve scores
- Click Update event to save
Approving scores
- Once a score is entered by a judge, it will appear on the Head judge page as Unapproved. Unapproved scores appear shaded
- To review the score, the Head Judge selects the shaded score to view the average score, as well as individual judge scores. If required, judges can edit their score, or the Head Judge can make edits on their behalf
- When satisfied, the Head Judge can click Approve on the bottom right, or Approve all on the top right to approve all pending scores
- Once approved, the score becomes visible to the public (including the public event page, live stream graphic and embed) and counts towards the athlete or team's total
- Approved scores are locked and can no longer be edited by the judge
