Overview of accepting payments via Liveheats
Liveheats offers a powerful and easy-to-use payment portal for event registration and membership. We partner with Stripe, the world's leading payment gateway. If your bank account is in a Stripe-supported country, you can activate payments for your organisation.
Is my country supported by Stripe?
Your athletes can register and pay from anywhere in the world, as long as they have a Credit or Debit Card. To accept payments, you need to have a bank account in a Stripe-supported country. See here for the latest list of which countries are supported: https://stripe.com/global
If your country isn't supported by Stripe, check out this article to learn how we accept paid registrations for non-supported countries.
Is there a transaction fee for handling payments?
Yes, there are fees associated with handling payments on Liveheats. This is split into two parts:
1. Stripe fees
You will sign up for a Stripe Standard account, and each transaction will be subject to Stripe's fees in the country where your account is located. Head to https://stripe.com/pricing to learn more about Stripe's fees. Ensure you have the correct country selected to get accurate information.
2. Liveheats fees
Liveheats fees are 4% of each transaction.
See our How LiveHeats transaction fees work article for more details.
When will we receive funds?
Payouts will be handled directly by Stripe, and you can edit the frequency of Payouts from your Stripe dashboard.
Do you offer alternative payment gateways to Stripe, like PayPal?
Unfortunately not; right now Stripe is the only payment gateway we have integrated with.
What payment methods are available to atheltes?
By default, Stripe offers credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. You can enable additional payment methods like Direct Debit for bank transfers by going to logging into Stripe and going to Settings > Payments, or read our Enabling additional payment methods via Stripe (e.g DirectDebit, PayTo) article for more details.
