# Toggling between Director and Judge roles on one device

Users with Director's permissions, can also act as a judge. This might be useful when:

* you are running coaching heats, and need to start and input scores
* a judge wants to be able to start and end heats

# How to toggle between Director and Judge dashboards

1. Click on your user initials (top right), and click Judge dashboard
2. Once you arrive on the Judge dashboard, select the relevant event to begin judging (judges can only choose an event if it is live)
3. To revert to the Director's dashboard, click the user initials again (top right) and click Director dashboard
4. Select the event you are Directing
5. You can toggle between the displays during live heats, without any risk of data being lost
