# Excluding an athlete's result from rankings eligibility

Organisers often have athletes competing in events within a **Series** who are not eligible to receive points for rankings. For example, a foreign competitor in a national rankings, or a visitor in a club competition.

With LiveHeats, you can exclude an athlete's result in a particular event division from rankings eligibility. We also offer a way to automatically exclude athlete's from rankings based on their age, see [here](https://liveheats.crisp.help/en/article/automatically-excluding-athletes-from-a-ranking-based-on-age-1km2jbi/) for more regarding this feature.

4. Once clicked the athlete's result will not appear in any **rankings**. Athlete's below them in the **Result** do not move up, (e.g. if 1st was excluded, 2nd still receives the points for 2nd)
