# Configuring the number of counting rides

By default for individual events, LiveHeats will set the number of counting rides to the athlete's total points to two.  
You can adjust this at any time in the **Division settings.**

To configure the number of counting rides:

1. From your **Event dashboard,** click on the to the relevant division
2. Once in the division, click **Division settings**
3. Scroll down in the dialogue to **Advanced**
4. Then you'll see a field for **Counting rides**
5. Select from the options, or simply type in the number of rides you'd like to configure (e.g. "5")
6. Click **Set to 5 rides**
7. Save to exit the dialogue
