# Breaking ties in series rankings

|| Note: The below article relates to breaking ties in Series rankings, not tie breaks in event divisions.

In Series rankings, if two or more athletes have the same amount of total points, they will be tied, and Liveheats does not auto-break them for you, since all organisations have different rules in place relating to rankings tie-breaks. Instead, you can request to have ties broken and we'll process this for you within 1-2 business days by filling in the form below.

# Request to have a tie broken in your series rankings

1. Login to Liveheats and click **Series** and then select the relevant **Series** and **Division** with the tie:

2. Copy the url, which should look something like *https://liveheats.com/director/rankings?series=2544&division=21848*
3. Complete the form below (or click [here](https://forms.clickup.com/26411634/f/t60kj-10016/0H3POIP1FU8QM4J9UQ) to open in new window) for each tied place you'd like broken. For example in the example above, you would submit the form twice, once for breaking 52nd place and once for breaking 58th place. You can reload the page to re-submit:

We'll break the tie and let you know once done.
